The online notepad checks for new website versions and offers a safe refresh after saving notes. Portable EXE, Ubuntu packages, Mac/Linux binaries and unpacked browser extensions do not silently replace themselves when the website changes. New desktop builds require a new verified download or a configured signed release channel. Store-distributed apps and extensions use their official store updates.
Download the matching .exe and open it. It runs a local service and launches your default browser. Keep the application window running while you write. The first launch may trigger Windows security prompts because this build is unsigned.
Download the right .deb for x64 or ARM64, then open it with Ubuntu's package installer. Alternatively install with sudo apt install ./filename.deb.
Make the downloaded executable runnable with chmod +x filename, then run it from the terminal. These are unsigned developer builds and can be blocked by platform security controls.
After deploying the website to HTTPS, open its online notepad in Safari, tap Share, and select Add to Home Screen. There is no signed App Store / IPA release yet.
After HTTPS deployment, open the online notepad in Chrome and choose Install app or Add to Home Screen. A signed native APK is not yet available.
These ZIP files contain unpacked extension sources. The Chromium build can be loaded with Developer mode; Firefox may require a temporary installation or signing.
Notes are stored locally inside the browser or app on the current device, not in an online account. Regularly export your notes and save backups. Clearing browser data or uninstalling an app can remove local notes. Downloads will work only after the website and all files in its downloads folder have been uploaded together.
